“Discover New Heights with Foundations of Reading”

Words Without Limits is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving literacy and educational outcomes for struggling readers in Colorado. Our mission is to provide equitable, school-based reading and dyslexia therapy for students who struggle with reading, writing, and language processing. By delivering consistent, evidence-based services directly inside schools — and offering year-round virtual support — we empower students to build the foundational literacy skills they need to thrive academically and unlock their full potential.

Founded in 2024 by a certified Academic Language Practitioner, Reading and Dyslexia specialist, this organization was created in response to the growing need for specialized educational resources for students facing reading challenges in our community. We understand learning differences can significantly impact a student’s educational path. Words Without Limits bridges the gap by embedding certified Language therapists directly into schools, ensuring students receive consistent, evidence-based intervention regardless of financial barriers. Through school partnerships and philanthropic support, we make high-quality reading therapy accessible to the students who need it most.

What Services Do We Offer?

  • Reading Therapy and Intervention:
Certified therapists provide consistent, evidence-based small-group instruction virtually and directly on school campuses for students in all grades.
  • Scholarship Services for Students Outside of School Contracts:
For students who need intensive reading support but are not enrolled in a partner school, cannot afford private services, we offer virtual therapy via Zoom, supported by community donations and philanthropic funding (can reside outside of Colorado).
  • Screening, Assessments, and Professional Development:
Literacy screenings, staff training, IEP/MTSS meeting participation, and parent education to increase awareness and understanding of dyslexia and language-based learning differences.
  • Flexible Year-Round Support:
Virtual therapy options available during the school year and summer months to help students maintain progress.

This work would not be possible without the help of our community partners, all whom are passionate individuals who share a commitment to improving the lives of students in our community. By covering the cost of Dyslexia and Reading therapy services, we help ensure that children have the resources they need to overcome learning obstacles, develop strong reading skills, and gain confidence in their academic abilities.

At Words Without Limits, we believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to succeed in school, regardless of their learning challenges. Together, we can create a future where all students, regardless of background or disability, can thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Curriculum & Instructional Approach:

At Words Without Limits, our certified therapists deliver evidence-based reading and dyslexia therapy using multiple nationally recognized structured literacy programs. This allows us to provide age-appropriate, intensive reading intervention across a wide range of student needs:

  • Grades K–1 Build: An Orton-Gillingham based program designed to provide early foundational literacy skills, phonemic awareness, decoding, and spelling support for emerging readers.
  • Grades 2–6 Take Flight: A comprehensive, research-backed dyslexia intervention developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Take Flight includes 230 days of instruction delivered through a combination of direct teaching, guided practice, and independent application. Students typically participate in a minimum of three one-hour sessions per week to ensure mastery and retention of reading skills.
  • Grades 7–12 JET: A structured literacy program specifically designed for older struggling readers and adolescents with dyslexia. JET provides age-appropriate, intensive instruction that addresses decoding, fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and written expression.
